Qld Electrical Contractors Licence Requirements

Here in Queensland, electrical contractors have special requirements for their insurance.

In addition to the minimum $5 million public liability cover (sometimes referred to as public & products liability, or broadform liability) you also require $50,000 consumer protection insurance.

To apply for or renew your licence, you will also need the special certificate of currency approved by the Department of Justice and Attorney General – Electrical Safety Office.

All policies issued by Trade Risk meet these requirements, as long as you select the occupation Electricaian (QLD) when requesting a quote.
