Woodina is an Australian underwriting agency.
As with Trade Risk they are based here in Brisbane, however they also have staff in Sydney.
Although we have found Woodina to have very competitively priced premiums for tradies, they are about a lot more than price:
“At the same time, we don’t only sell ourselves on price. We believe there is more to insurance than that. We have introduced, for the first time in Australia, an in-house law firm claims model, which Michael Wood successfully applied in London from 1997 to 2006.”
Many of the Woodina policies we recommend to clients at Trade Risk are underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s of London.
Lloyd’s was established back in 1688 – over 300 years ago!
As with all Australian insurance companies, Woodina is regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
