We are super proud to announce that we’ve been named a finalist in five different categories at this year’s Insurance Business Awards.
Our team work hard every day to ensure trade business owners are protected, and to receive these types of accolades is a well-deserved reward for the team.
No other trade specialist insurance broker is up for as many awards as Trade Risk this year, which gives us the confidence to say we’re Australia’s best insurance broker for the trades!
We’re up for three company awards and two individual awards:

Specialist Broker of the Year
We tell people we’re a specialist insurance broker, so be a finalist for specialist broker of the year means a lot to us.
Unlike some of our competition, we genuinely specialise in the tradies and builders. Many of our competitors in this space are simply divisions of larger corporate brokers.
This is the first year we’ve nominated for this category. In the past we’ve been a finalist for Broker of the Year (1-5 staff) however we’ll well and truly outgrown those staff numbers!
We love specialising in trade insurance, so this category means a lot to us.
Best Customer Service
We’re always talking about how good our customer service is, but it’s nice to be able to back it up with over one thousand client reviews and awards such as this one.
Customer service is a huge deal for us at Trade Risk. It comes above all else really, aside from ensuring that trade business owners are obtaining the right insurance. But that’s one and the same really.
We love helping trade business owners with their insurance, and we love providing award winning customer service.
We actually won this category back in 2018, and it’d be nice to add another one to the collection!
Best Digital Strategy
If you’re a client of Trade Risk, our digital strategy probably doesn’t matter a whole lot to you.
It does mean a lot to us however, as we’ve spent many years trying to perfect our digital marketing and our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Broker of the Year – Authorised Rep. (Jennifer Steger)
This is the first year that we’ve nominated for any of the individual categories. We nominated our senior insurance broker, Jennifer Steger.
Jennifer was a state finalist in the Broker of the Year awards last year, so to pick up another finalist position in a different awards program is great validation.
As our senior insurance broker, Jennifer looks after most of our larger and more complex clients. This award is a great recognition of the work she does for our trade and building clients.
Broker of the Year – Specialist (Jennifer Steger)
Jennifer has also been named a finalist in the specialist category. Although she has great knowledge and experience across the business insurance spectrum, it is great to be recognised as a specialist.
All of our insurance broking team are fantastic at what they do, and we look forward to seeing more of our team being named in future awards.
When are the winners announced?
The big night is scheduled to take place in Sydney on the 12th of November, but with the current COVID situation in NSW that seems a little unlikely at the moment.
Last year the awards had to be switched to a virtual event, so we may see a repeat of that again this year.
Either way, we’ll keep you updated if we manage to score a win in any of our categories!
