PRESS RELEASE

Australia’s peak representative body for carpenters, Carpentry Australia, has appointed Trade Risk as their insurance partner.

The partnership will see Carpentry Australia endorse Trade Risk as the preferred supplier of insurance services to its members.

In addition to insurance services, Trade Risk will also provide educational material to the association’s members.

Managing Director of Trade Risk, Shane Moore, says the partnership is recognition for the work they have done with tradespeople.

“We’re very proud to have been endorsed by a national trade association such as Carpentry Australia.

“It helps to confirm what we’ve always believed, which is that no one does a better job insuring chippies than our team.”

Moore also believes that the two groups are a great fit for each other.

“Our largest client group is carpenters, so to partner with Carpentry Australia makes a lot of sense for both parties.

“We can offer carpenters fantastic rates and market leading service, and that’s why almost one thousand carpenters have already chosen Trade Risk.”

Business Development Manager at Carpentry Australia, Rosie Chambers, believes the appointment is a win for their members.

“We’d been in contact with Trade Risk for many months before making the decision to appoint them as the sole recommended insurance partner for our members.

“Our vision is to strengthen the carpentry industry and improve standards for all involved, so it was important that any insurance partner we endorsed could also live up to those high standards.

“After meeting with management, learning more about the business and hearing what their existing carpentry clients had to say, it was clear that Trade Risk were the right choice.”

With almost 100,000 carpenters in Australia, and around 38% of them operating their own business*, there is a huge need for business insurance.

It is hoped that the partnership between Carpentry Australia and Trade Risk will help more carpenters to gain access to appropriate insurance products and advice.

The appointment by Carpentry Australia follows a similar appointment earlier this year by the Australian Master Tilers Association.
